WOW! Living Micro Leaf launched exclusively at New Covent Garden Market
On Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th February, New Covent Garden Market and VHB will be launching the UK's first range of British ‘peat free’ Living Micro Leaf. Grown on FSC accredited cellulose substrate, this results in a cleaner product with the minimum of mess when used in the kitchen.
Grown in West Sussex, WOW! Living Micro Leaf is a range of young salad leaves or herbs grown to seed leaf or first true leaf stage. These amazing miniatures are exceptionally tender and intensely flavoured adding the WOW factor to your dish. Living Micro Leaf is harvested fresh, as required, with a minimum amount of preparation. The growing medium increasing product life, suiting smaller and large kitchens alike.
Used by Chefs for a variety of applications, WOW! Living Micro leaf is available in a specially selected range from favourite British flavours such as watercress and tendril pea shoots, to more exotic varieties including purple shiso and red amaranth.
Between Midnight and 7am on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th February, VHB is launching its Living Micro Leaf range exclusively on Buyers Walk at New Covent Garden Market, London's premier wholesale market. There will be live cooking demonstrations using the different Micro Leaves, tutored tastings and demonstrations; and a chance to chat to the growers, distributors and wholesalers of this innovative product.
